It’s very difficult to deny that tacos are one of the most delicious foods around, and for some reason, street tacos from a taco truck are even better. It could be that they’re often cheaper, they come with as many salsas and limes as you want, or maybe that you can eat them standing up without any judgement. Regardless, it’s fun to order tacos from a truck. The following list consists of our top five taco truck recommendations in Los Angeles.

1. LEO’S TACOS

Located on the corner of La Brea and Venice Blvd, Leo’s Tacos is a truck that will catch your attention. The brightly lit up yellow truck is open from 10am-2am most days and is known for its al pastor tacos with pineapple bits. Tacos are $2.50 a piece and you’ll get to choose from a wide array of salsas too! Just make sure you’re prepared to stand in a long line and bring cash or you’ll be sorely out of luck.

2. KOGI BBQ TRUCK

If you’d like to be a bit more adventurous on your taco outing, Kogi BBQ truck is a great fusion truck. Here you’ll find a compelling menu of taco options ranging from calamari to short rib. If you’re not in the mood for tacos, you can also try other unique eats such as the kimchi quesadilla or the kogi sliders. Due to its popularity, the Kogi BBQ trucks span the majority of Los Angeles County with trucks in the San Fernando Valley, Orange County, and the San Gabriel Valley. 3. MARISCOS JALISCOS

Another unique spot for tacos, Mariscos Jaliscos boasts some of the best seafood tacos around! A classic to get here is the Taco de Camaron, which consists of shrimp and avocado in a tasty deep fried taco shell with red sauce on top. If you want something a little heftier, try the Tostado Poseidon. Stacked high with shrimp ceviche, octopus and aguachile, this dish will have you stuffed! 4. EL CHATO

Located at 5300 Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles, El Chato is known for their vast and varied menu and $1 tacos. You can get everything here from quesadillas to tacos, burritos and mulitas. With delicious grilled onions as a side and great service, this is definitely a place you don’t want to miss while checking out some of L.A.’s best taco spots.

5. BROTHERS COUSINS TACOS

Though not quite a taco truck, Brothers Cousins Tacos deserves a spot on this list for having some of the best street food. Technically a stand, BCT serves everything from tacos to burritos and quesadillas. If you’re having a difficult time deciding between two options, come to BCT simply to enjoy the mouthwatering tortillas that they melt the cheese onto right in front of you! They also have cactus you can try as well as horchata. Located at 11341 National Blvd in Los Angeles, BCT is open all nights except for Monday, is cash-only and always crowded!
